Meet the Cast
Bethany Givan - ‘Calamity Jane’
Bethany is currently in Year 11. She is a keen actress and has already had a leading role in ‘Matilda’ as Miss Trunchbull. Bethany is working towards her Grade 7 singing exam and regularly sings at events and churches in the local area. Alongside her passion for theatre, she enjoys music and, no doubt, has a bright acting and musical future ahead of her.
Luke Teggart - ‘Wild Bill’
Luke is Head Boy at Lurgan College. He is studying History, Politics, and French. He is a member of the school Hockey team and the UK Youth Parliament. He regularly participates in public speaking competitions and earlier this year won the BPW competition. Luke is no stranger to acting; when he was a pupil at LJHS he played Gaston in the school's production of ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
Martha McTernaghan - ‘Katie Brown’
Martha is in Year 13 and completing her A Levels in Nutrition & Food Science, Travel & Tourism and Sports Science. She is a keen hockey player, musician and an active member of the school choir. When at LJHS, she took part in the school’s production of ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Martha also had the honour of singing for King Charles when he visited as The Prince of Wales.
Daniel Richardson - ‘Lieutenant Danny’
Daniel is currently in Year 13 and completing his A Levels in History, Politics and RE. His leading role in ‘Calamity’ is his senior school acting debut, not forgetting his P7 performance of ‘Robin Hood’ in Donacloney PS. Daniel is a member of the school rugby team and in October 2023 Daniel embarked on a Mission Africa trip to Kenya with a group from Lurgan College.
Hannah Gilmore - ‘Millie’
Hannah is in Year 14 and is completing her A Levels in English Literature, Health and Social Care and R.E. She recently embarked on the school’s Mission Africa trip to Kenya. Hannah has acted before in ‘High School Musical’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’. She is a member of the school choir and a keen musician.
Lyla-Grace Thompson - ‘Adelaide Adams’
Lyla-Grace is currently in Year 13 and completing her A Levels in History, Politics, RE and English Literature. She is a great musician and has just completed her Grade 7 Piano exam. Lyla-Grace is a member of the school choir and she also plays the violin. She has undertaken acting roles in ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ at LJHS.
Dale Murray - ‘Francis fryer’
Dale is in Year 14 and completing his A Levels in Biology, English Literature and Technology & Design. This is not his acting debut, in P7 Dale played the leading role of ‘Santa’ in his Primary Production. Dale aspires to go to university to train to become a Primary School Teacher.
Rebecca Beggs - ‘Susan’
Rebecca is currently in Year 13 and completing her A Levels in History, Politics and Tourism. She is a budding actress, and this year alone took on leading roles in MADS ‘Frozen’, ‘Snow White’, ‘Grease’ and ‘Night at the Musicals’. Rebecca is a member of the school choir and a very keen musician.
Daniel Owen - ‘Joe’
Daniel is currently in Year 13 and completing his A Levels in History, Politics, Biology and RE. He has performed before in a few productions notably ‘Summer Holiday’ in Clounagh Junior High school. In October 2023, Daniel embarked on a Mission Africa trip to Kenya with a group from Lurgan College.
